Purpose of the position / About the Job


The University of Minnesota Morris theater discipline is looking for a scenic designer for the children's production of Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse for spring of 2026. This person would oversee the technical side of the production including guiding student designers, training in run crew, leading the technical rehearsals, overseeing the build of the production in all areas, helping build the set and oversee student workers in the scene shop and be on site in Morris from mid February to mid April. They would work closely with the production director and the staff in the scene shop.


This is a temporary position from 2/12/2026 - 4/22/2026 at $25/hour for 220 hours.
