Job Description

We are currently accepting applications for a part-time preschool assistant to start in January 2026. This position is five hours a day, five days a week, Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 12:30p.m. and does not come with benefits. Experience with Project-based learning, specifically, is a plus, but not a requirement. In addition, strong candidates must love working with young children, respect children's learning capabilities, and value creativity. Our preschools are joyful places that build children's knowledge and skills through play-based curriculum and project work. Responsibilities include assisting the teacher in the classroom, supporting and enriching children's play, and assisting with lunch and nap time. Candidates should enjoy working with young children and be able to cultivate warm, supportive relationships. We are looking for flexible individuals who are skilled at working as a team player and have a clear dedication to the well-being of children. Experience working in preschool is preferred. A minimum of a High School diploma is required.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma is required Early childhood experience is preferred The ability to adhere to all Sayre School policies and procedures of professionalism
