We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Lead to oversee SAP technical operations, administration, and platform stability in a dynamic enterprise environment. This key role involves managing SAP landscapes, ensuring system performance, coordinating patching/upgrades, and supporting project and production environments.

The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on knowledge of SAP Basis, HANA administration, transport management, provisioning, cloud integration, and system architecture design.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead SAP Basis administration for SAP ECC or S/4HANA landscapes across development, QA, and production environments Oversee installation, configuration, monitoring, and tuning of SAP systems including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PO/PI, Fiori, Solution Manager, etc. Manage performance optimization, transport management, patches, upgrades, and system copies Coordinate with infrastructure and cloud teams on Linux/Windows OS, network, storage, and backup activities Ensure availability, security, and scalability of SAP applications across the enterprise Support integrations between SAP and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Handle system monitoring, batch job scheduling, and troubleshooting high-priority issues Provide technical leadership to SAP Basis/NetWeaver administrators Maintain documentation, system health reports, SOPs, and support governance initiatives

Required Skills & Experience:

10+ years of SAP Basis administration experience in large-scale environments Hands-on in S/4HANA, HANA DB, NetWeaver stack, Solution Manager, SAP Fiori, Java stacks, etc. Strong experience managing SAP landscapes, transport routes, and system upgrades Expertise in Linux or Windows OS platform and familiarity with virtualization/cloud (AWS/Azure) Experience with SAP security concepts, authorizations, backup/restore, and encryption standards Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills

Must be willing to work onsite in Normal, IL

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations, cloud deployments, or hybrid architectures SAP Basis certification or SAP Certified Technology Associate preferred Exposure to Agile/DevOps methodologies and tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform Experience with high-availability, failover, clustering, and DR testing Familiarity with automation tools for monitoring or administration

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
