About the role



The SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions in SAP environments, addressing production issues, and supporting technical design and development efforts. This role requires close collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams to develop technical specifications, perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and implement code fixes. The developer will also participate in project planning, create design documentation, and ensure successful testing and deployment of SAP solutions. Occasional travel to client sites within the US may be required.



Key Responsibilities

Interact with clients to understand production issues and provide effective SAP ABAP solutions.

Participate in status meetings, design process flows, diagrams, and prepare technical documentation.

Manage team deliverables, conduct peer and self-code reviews, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Troubleshoot day-to-day issues, perform data fixes, and implement emergency code corrections.

Support the functional team in effort estimation, code design, and development of technical specifications.

Collaborate with client technical teams to isolate and resolve issues methodically.

Develop test scenarios, prepare test data, and validate implementation of solutions.

Identify and resolve code deployment issues, assist with migration activities, and provide ongoing support.

Occasionally travel to unanticipated client-site locations within the US as required.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development or related technical roles.

Strong experience in troubleshooting, code development, and SAP system support.

Ability to create technical and functional specifications, flow diagrams, and process documentation.

Familiarity with SAP testing, deployment, and migration processes.

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming and development best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex system issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with clients and internal teams.

Experience in peer code reviews and team management for SAP development projects.
