The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic facility through daily and deep-cleaning tasks. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the facility meets all company, food safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
deep cleaning
of the facility Monday-Friday, including production areas, equipment, floors, walls, and common spaces.
Complete
daily sanitation duties
such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, trash removal, and surface disinfection.
Clean and sanitize equipment according to established
SSOPs
and safety guidelines.
Support
other cleaning tasks as assigned
, including special projects, spill cleanups, and seasonal or audit-related sanitation work.
Handle and store cleaning chemicals properly; follow all
safety and PPE requirements
.
Maintain sanitation logs, checklists, and documentation as required.
Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions to management.
Work collaboratively with production and warehouse teams to ensure all areas remain clean and organized.
Qualifications
Previous sanitation, janitorial, or food-manufacturing cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot, cold, or wet environments.
Strong attention to detail and reliability with consistent attendance.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
