Position Summary
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for ensuring the production facility is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures, GMPs, and food safety standards. This is a
safety-sensitive position
that plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed sanitation of production equipment and facility areas to established standards
Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety requirements
Remove trash, product residue, and soil from the plant; clean floors, walls, ceilings, restrooms, and offices as needed
Safely and correctly use sanitation chemicals, tools, and equipment
Communicate with production and sanitation leadership regarding cleaning priorities
Complete required sanitation paperwork and documentation
Assist with safety, training, and quality audits related to sanitation
Identify and report food safety, quality, or safety concerns
Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and promote a safe work environment
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum
1 year of sanitation experience
in a food manufacturing or production environment preferred
Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, proportions, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures around moving machinery

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
Ability to lift up to
25 pounds
Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment
