Job Description

The Original Equipment Manufacturer Sales Representative will sell and provide guidance about products needed by manufacturers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients in the hydraulic wholesale and manufacturing fields. Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls. Develops and implements strategies for sales in an assigned region or industry. Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand equipment needs and systems requirements. Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains benefits of changes. Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients. Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders. Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly. Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager. Provides periodic territory sales forecasts. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences. Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. Travel to meet with clients or potential clients will be required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
