The Sales Representative is a strategic team member responsible for driving revenue growth, managing the sales pipeline, and overseeing outreach initiatives. This role combines high-level planning with hands-on execution, ensuring alignment between sales, outreach, marketing, and programming teams. The Sales Representative will lead a dynamic team, foster key relationships, and implement best practices to support organizational goals.
Sales Leadership & Strategy
take part in the sales team, setting quarterly goals and performance metrics.
Oversee the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract execution and invoicing.
Analyze sales data and trends to inform strategy and report weekly to the Executive Director.
Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
Implement and refine sales processes and tools
Ensure timely follow-up on leads, estimates, and customer communications.
Maintain oversight of customer contracts, invoices, and collections.
Outreach & Relationship Management
Develop and execute outreach campaigns targeting key markets and sectors.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with chambers, cooperatives, non-profits, and other stakeholders.
Attend networking events, workshops, and community meetings to promote the organization.
Coordinate and schedule open houses, workshops, and promotional events.
Maintain strong customer relationships through regular check-ins and personalized engagement strategies.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
Serve as the liaison between sales, outreach, programming, and marketing teams.
Ensure smooth information flow and alignment across departments.
Work with programming to improve service delivery and customer experience.
Communicate marketing needs and collaborate on campaign development.
Innovation & Development
Research and implement new simulation and station opportunities.
Lead the development and testing of internal tools such as BiLink and HubSpot.
Support the launch of new initiatives like the Industry Partner Network (IPN).
Contribute to the planning and execution of specialty events (e.g., State Fair).
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in education, nonprofit, or service-based industries.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), invoicing tools (e.g., QuickBooks), and project management platforms.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams.
