The Opportunity



The Sales Representative plays a critical role in our residential growth, serving as the primary face of the company for homeowners. Unlike traditional sales roles, you are not evaluated on cold-calling or finding your own leads; instead, you will focus on executing high-quality estimate appointments and owning the customer relationship from the initial visit to the start of installation. We are looking for someone who is personable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to ensuring every project is accurately priced and documented to mirror Abbey Fence & Deck's high standards of quality.

Responsibilities



Lead Execution:

Attend scheduled residential estimate appointments to meet with homeowners and assess project needs.

Customer Education:

Guide customers through the fence and deck installation process, answering technical questions and helping them choose the best solutions for their property.

Accurate Pricing:

Calculate project costs accurately using the mandatory company pricing application.

Detailed Documentation:

Create thorough job records, including precise material orders and project specifications, to ensure the installation team is set up for success.

Relationship Management:

Own the customer relationship throughout the sales process, providing professional service and timely follow-up.

Collaboration:

Partner with the production and warehouse teams to ensure a seamless transition from the signed contract to the physical build.

Preferred Qualifications



Communication:

Personable and professional demeanor with a willingness to "show and teach" customers about their projects.

Technical Aptitude:

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.

Life-Long Learner:

Previous fence or deck installation knowledge is a plus but not required for the candidate who loves to learn quickly.

Organization:

Highly organized with a focus on accurate data entry and documentation.

Tech-Savvy:

Comfortable utilizing mobile apps and digital tools for pricing and project management.

Reliability:

Ability to manage a schedule of appointments effectively and provide consistent customer service.

Abbey offers a market-competitive commission structure and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals. The candidate will become eligible for participation in our benefits program after a 90-day probationary period.
