to lead our outreach and business development efforts within the behavioral health and addiction treatment field. This role oversees the business development team, drives referral growth, builds strong community partnerships, and represents the organization across New Mexico. The Sales Manager will travel regularly--primarily to
Albuquerque and Las Cruces
--and support statewide outreach as needed.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management
Supervise, mentor, and support the Business Development/outreach team.
Set outreach goals, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and development.
Ensure team accountability through regular reporting, weekly check-ins, and performance evaluations.
Coordinate territory assignments and oversee execution of outreach strategies.
Sales & Outreach
Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to increase referrals and expand market presence.
Travel regularly to
Albuquerque and Las Cruces
to meet with hospitals, clinics, treatment centers, social service agencies, correctional facilities, and community partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources including therapists, case managers, social workers, and healthcare providers.
Conduct presentations, in-service trainings, and community education regarding programs and services.
Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and outreach opportunities.
Program Knowledge & Industry Expertise
Maintain a deep understanding of addiction treatment modalities, behavioral health services, and community resources.
Serve as a knowledgeable representative of the organization to both internal and external partners.
Work closely with admissions and clinical departments to ensure seamless communication and referral follow-through.
Reporting & Strategy
Track referral data, outreach activity, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Prepare and deliver monthly reports to leadership regarding progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Identify new markets, referral sources, and partnerships to support growth.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or outreach (behavioral health or healthcare strongly preferred).
Experience managing or supervising a team.
Strong knowledge of addiction recovery, mental health services, or related healthcare fields.
Excellent communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to travel regularly to
Albuquerque and Las Cruces
, and statewide as needed.
Highly organized with strong time-management and follow-through skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
CRM experience preferred.
