The Pape' Sales Internship is designed to give students industry experience while allowing them to become familiar with Pape' and the Pape' sales philosophy.
During the Internship, Pape' will provide interns a rotational work experience with a strong emphasis on teaching the inner workings and operations of our various company departments, such as sales, parts, service, and rental. During their time in each department, they will work under a senior department leader who will mentor them on success in the role, how that specific department provides consistent quality customer service to our clients, and how the department supports the sales process. Our goal is to give interns the full breadth knowledge for how each department operates and how the various departments support one another to achieve sales success.
Along with training in each department, interns will learn the Pape' Sales Process. This will include product training, solutions sales training, application training, customer relationship training and business development training. The training uses a combination of instructor-led, job shadowing and on-the-job training. Interns will walk away with knowledge and training in the art and science of effective relationship-based, solutions-selling techniques that are proven to increase sales.
Lastly, interns will get the opportunity to build new skills and work on a company assigned project that will focus on a new business opportunity, challenge and/or strategic initiative. During the project they will be given direction and guidance by their Sales Manager. In the final weeks of the internship the interns will present their results and findings to the management team and receive questioning and feedback on their results.
The Sales Internship will be based out of a Pape' store and the official location will be determined after interviews are conducted and preferred locations of each candidate are determined. This is a summer internship and specific dates will vary depending on the availability and school schedule of the candidate.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Prefer candidates with minimum 1 year previous sales experience and knowledge of capital equipment or college underclassman
Financing, marketing, and sales background helpful
Self-motivation and drive
Above average computer skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent customer relation skills
Driver's license with a good driving record
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
