Job Overview:

The Sales Execution Manager (SEM) reports to the Senior Director National Retail Sales, Strategic Retail and is responsible for managing the DSD Operations for select retailers to support achievement of key business metrics: sales volume, margin, and DSD Execution KPI\xe2\x80\x99s. The SEM will serve as a key member of the National Retail Selling team, helping create and execute the strategic relationship with key retailer Operations Team.

The Sales Execution Manager is responsible for translating customer annual operating plans into actionable execution at store level, leading to delivery of KDP (Keurig Dr Pepper) volume, net sales, and profit objectives for the DSD (Direct Store Delivery) business. This role will own improving DSD execution through distributor sales calls, retailer operations level engagements, internal KDP updates, and flawlessly driving end-to-end execution planning for key initiatives. This role will frequently visit retailer headquarter offices in Chicago and Virginia and will be based in either the Central or East regions with close proximity to a major airport with 60% travel.

Position Responsibilities

  • Convert the National Retail Sales team plans into successful execution at store level.
  • Maximize sales volume and margin delivery through best-in-class DSD execution
  • Optimize and sell programming in alignment with the National plan, ensuring execution of all initiatives at the retailer/bottler level and retailer\xe2\x80\x99s division/store level teams.
  • Develop and build relationships with key KDP DSD and retailer operations personnel to facilitate execution by bridging any identified gaps in communication.
  • Create, maintain, and action plan against execution void reporting \xe2\x80\x93 home location distribution and event execution. Set aggressive execution goals and develop plans to help the team deliver.
  • Sell and effectively communicate key initiatives to bottler/distributor decision makers, ensuring alignment and execution of customer business plans.
  • Manage promotional processes from the planning stage, to development, to execution, ensuring all retailer timelines are met, deliverables are executed, and communication is timely to both internal and external parties.
  • Utilize internal, syndicated and POS data to identify opportunities and adjust plans to meet and exceed annual goals and objectives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99 s degree from an accredited institution
  • 5 years of CPG sales, or sales support experience in National Accounts
  • Store management or distribution operations experience
  • Experience using IRI, Nielsen Scantrack, or other syndicated data a plus.
  • Highly Proficient in using MS Office products such as PowerPoint Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong selling skills
