Porch Group Media has recently launched a new product in the market, Home Factors, that will transform the insurance vertical's current approach to risk-based calculation. This is an exciting opportunity for our new to market Home Factor data products that leverage exclusive unique insights into a property's interior and exterior, only available from Porch. The product offers insurance carriers, re-insurers, and other companies in the space the opportunity to more accurately understand property risk and price homeowners' policies more effectively. Not only that, but we also offer marketing capabilities built off our robust property and mover data sets. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance, sales, and a strong understanding of technical products or solutions. The Sales Engineer will work closely with our sales team to provide technical support, demonstrate our products and run the Proof-of-Concept process and Evaluate Results, along with assisting in the development of strategies to meet customer needs.
What You Will Do As A Sales Engineer:Manage the sales process by engaging clients to understand their technical requirements and business objectives.
Gather requirements, complete the POC process and analysis, review results with sales and provide demonstrations and technical presentations to customers.
Lead the POC and risk evaluation process
Collaborate with sales personnel to develop effective sales strategies and proposals.
Respond to customer inquiries and provide solutions to technical challenges.
Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals, including pricing and specifications.
Conduct market research to identify potential customers and emerging trends.
Provide post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and product optimization.
Stay up to date with industry trends and product advancements.
What You Will Bring As A Sales EngineerBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience working in or with the insurance industry (e.g., underwriting, claims, policy systems, or insuretech platforms).
3 - 5 years SQL / Python experience
5+ years proven experience in sales engineering / support or technical sales support
Strong understanding of data solutions and attribution methodologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working with produce development, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment in strategy and execution
