A global automotive parts manufacturing company is looking for a motivated

Sales Engineer

in their Troy, MI location.

The ideal candidate would have 3 years' experience in electrical or mechanical engineering (electric motor experience will be a huge plus) and customer interaction.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

Establish relations with new and previous customers New business development with OEMs and Tier Suppliers Promote automotive motor products and company itself Intelligently communicate with clients Responsible for price/contract negotiations Travel to customer locations and prepare reports and compile data Make presentations to and attend meetings with client managers and engineers. Understand specifications for products for customer design assistance Responsible for conducting marketing activities including market research, competitor analysis, and benchmarking etc. Create data, budgets, and reports regarding sales and marketing activity. Other Duties as assigned by Management.

Sales Engineer Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred but mechanical engineering degree is also encouraged to apply At least 3 years of working experience as an engineer Minimum 1 year of customer interaction or sales experience Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time in North Americas Must have excellent presentation skills Experience with working in a Japanese related environment is a plus but not a requirement This position will not support visa sponsorships This position includes manufacturing and office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
