CED's Sales Development Trainee Program gives you real-world training in every part of our business - from warehouse operations to customer relationships - preparing you for a long-term, high-impact role in the electrical distribution industry.
Description
In this structured 1-2 year training program, you'll rotate through key departments to build your electrical knowledge and customer service skills. Once training is complete, you'll have an opportunity to be promoted to an Account Manager, where you'll manage your own customer accounts and grow your book of business.
Counter Sales (6 months) - Assist walk-in customers, fulfill orders, and provide product support
Inside Sales (8 months) - Quote jobs, coordinate accounts, and support the outside sales team
Operations Training (1 month) - Pricing and margin strategies, purchasing, and vendor trainings
Minimum Requirements:
1-5 years of professional work experience (B2B sales or customer-facing roles preferred)
Associate's or Bachelor's degree, experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Strong interest in sales, customer service, and account management
Willingness to work in a distribution/warehouse environment
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Able to lift 40+ lbs. and operate warehouse equipment (training provided)
Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
