About this position

The primary responsibility of the Advantech Sales Development Representative (SDR) is to drive new sales revenue growth, penetrate new accounts, and expand market presence. The SDR will focus on generating demand, qualifying and converting sales leads, and turning them into profitable new business opportunities. The ideal sales candidate must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be a self-starter who is interested in technology and today's computing trends and, most importantly, has a desire to win! Success metrics include lead to opportunity conversions, accurate pipeline management, revenue forecasting, outbound sales activities, developing targeted accounts/contacts, and achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales growth KPIs.
Responsibilities
: Research, identify, and generate new sales opportunities weekly using demand generation tools, cold calls, social media platforms, email, etc.
Manage and grow existing accounts in assigned territory.
Build, qualify, and manage an accurate and growing sales funnel using Salesforce.com and other tools.
Collaborate closely with Product Sales Management and Key Account Sales teams to develop accounts. strategies and demand generation activities for various geographical territories and target vertical markets
Utilize demand generation tools, including Salesforce and LinkedIn Professional.
Work and brainstorm with Advantech marketing team on future campaigns, and execute dedicated sales campaigns to generate new demand.
Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regularly report progress to senior management, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
Perform additional tasks as assigned and needed.
Required Qualifications
: Bachelor's degree, technical degree or equivalent
Demonstrated previous or current sales experience is a must.
3-5+ years of sales or related market/business experience. Relative experience with technical Industrial Automation or IoT Technology sales is a plus.
Ability to manage and demonstrate knowledge in sales account development (prospecting, research, and qualifying techniques).
Consistent delivery of exceptional results in a fast-paced, complex sales environment.
Knowledge and understanding of sales funnel process, as well as customer-focused psychology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to use MS Office and Salesforce Data Cloud tools as part of detailed reporting requirements.
Experience with consultative selling is preferred.
Proven track record of prospecting and closing net-new business.
