Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers in a grocery store environment. Your primary focus will be on assisting customers with their shopping needs, maintaining product displays, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products and services. Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately while ensuring a smooth checkout process. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, including restocking shelves and arranging displays. Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and encourage sales. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in their roles.

Skills

Strong background in customer service, particularly within a grocery store setting. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Experience with cash registers and cash handling procedures. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while contributing to individual sales targets. Proficient in conducting product demos and engaging customers in conversation about products. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle customer concerns professionally.
