Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product displays, and driving sales through effective communication and upselling techniques. This role offers an opportunity to develop retail skills in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on creating a welcoming shopping experience for all customers.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Upsell additional products and accessories to increase sales revenue Maintain proper merchandising and stock shelves to ensure attractive displays Assist with stocking, inventory management, and organizing merchandise Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Support supervising staff in training new team members and maintaining store standards Ensure proper phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries Assist with grocery store operations as needed, including basic math calculations for transactions

Skills

Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Previous supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities Ability to perform product demos confidently and engagingly Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette Skilled in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math principles Experience in retail sales environments, especially grocery stores or similar settings Basic math skills necessary for transactions and inventory counts Exceptional customer service orientation with friendly demeanor and professionalism
