Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs through engaging product demos and personalized recommendations Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and processing credit card payments with proper phone etiquette Upsell related products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking to promote product visibility and appeal Conduct inventory checks, manage stock levels, and assist with stock replenishment to ensure the sales floor is well-stocked at all times Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, handling returns or exchanges professionally, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Support team supervision by supervising new staff or interns when needed, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving sales goals

Experience

Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math ensures smooth transaction processing Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities help connect with a diverse customer base Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments enhances your ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced settings Supervising experience or leadership roles demonstrate your ability to guide team members and contribute to a positive work environment Knowledge of merchandising techniques, product demos, upselling strategies, and phone etiquette will set you apart as a top performer
