Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in a retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to engage with customers, providing them with an exceptional shopping experience. This role involves assisting customers with product selections, managing transactions, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. We pay hourly VS commission.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities and meet store goals. Maintain merchandising standards by organizing products, stocking shelves, and ensuring displays are appealing. Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Communicate effectively with customers regarding their needs and preferences, ensuring a positive shopping experience. Adhere to store policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance customer interactions. Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions accurately. Experience with merchandising and stocking is desirable. Knowledge of phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries is beneficial. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are key attributes for success in this role.
