Duties

Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, ensuring accurate transactions and cash handling. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer engagement. Assist in merchandising efforts by organizing displays and stocking shelves to maintain an appealing shopping environment. Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, adhering to company standards for presentation. Provide support in supervising junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or concerns. Utilize basic math skills for inventory management and retail math applications as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred, particularly in a grocery store setting. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions. Familiarity with cashiering processes and cash handling procedures is essential. Experience with merchandising and stocking practices is a plus. Ability to perform product demos confidently and effectively. Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in leadership roles within the team. A proactive attitude towards upselling products while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
