Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to drive sales in a retail environment. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, maintaining store standards, and supporting the overall success of the sales team.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. Process transactions accurately using the cash register and POS systems. Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by restocking shelves and managing inventory. Assist in supervising junior staff members to ensure efficient operations. Provide product knowledge to customers, promoting sales and enhancing their shopping experience. Uphold store cleanliness and presentation standards, ensuring merchandise is displayed attractively. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with professionalism and courtesy.

Requirements

Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels. Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred. Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and cash handling procedures. Strong phone etiquette for handling customer calls effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Experience in supervising or mentoring staff is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8.00 - $9.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
