Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, product knowledge, and sales techniques to enhance the shopping experience. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and ensuring the sales floor is well-maintained. Bilingual skills and previous retail or grocery store experience are highly valued. The Sales Associate will play a key role in driving sales through upselling and merchandising while providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs Operate POS systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and cashiering duties Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining an organized sales floor Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Maintain proper phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors Support supervising staff as needed, including overseeing daily store operations Perform basic retail math for transactions, inventory counts, and stock management

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store, or similar environment preferred Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse customers Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base Experience in supervising or leading a team is desirable but not mandatory Ability to perform product demos and upselling techniques effectively Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management practices Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
