Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong customer service orientation and a passion for retail sales. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with product selections, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Your role will also involve maintaining the store's appearance and inventory levels while promoting sales through effective merchandising and upselling techniques.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions Handle cash and perform cash handling duties accurately Maintain stock levels by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits Utilize effective merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility Engage in upselling to maximize sales opportunities Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals

Skills

Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transactions Experience with POS systems and retail operations Ability to supervise junior staff or assist in training new employees (supervising experience is a plus) Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases Knowledge of retail math concepts to assist in inventory management Experience in stocking, merchandising, and maintaining product displays Ability to conduct engaging product demos that highlight key features Previous experience in grocery store settings is advantageous

Pay: $20.64 - $24.85 per hour
