Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, personalized service to meet their needs Demonstrate product features through engaging demos to enhance customer understanding and interest Assist customers with product selection, upselling relevant items to maximize sales opportunities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stocking practices Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support inventory management by counting stock, conducting stock replenishment, and managing stockroom organization Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction

Skills

Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in retail or grocery store environments Strong supervising experience or leadership skills to assist in team coordination when needed Ability to conduct product demos confidently and clearly communicate features and benefits Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional phone manner Skilled in upselling techniques to increase sales while maintaining customer trust Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math for accurate inventory management and sales tracking Familiarity with cashiering procedures and basic math skills for quick transactions Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
