A global company of the automotive parts manufacturing industry is in need of a

Safety Specialist

to join their

Clanton, AL

facility.

Responsibilities of Safety Specialist

Ensure company production system runs in compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations Perform environmental compliance audits for the facility and create reports to the management, or any legal agencies if necessary Maintain ISO 14001 and 9001 system and ensure the audits are performed on time Identify and investigate any compliance issues, inform management and provide support to solve the issues Assist preparation for audits of legal agencies Develop and implement programs to ensure compliance with laws, and regulations Analyze the opportunity of waste, CO2, water usage reduction and develop any action plans Work with Safety team and ensure to address any safety and environmental issues Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications of Safety Specialist

Must have 2-4 years of EHS and ISO 14001/9001 experience in the manufacturing industry Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, or related field or equivalent experience Experience in the automotive manufacturing field is a plus Must be familiar with regulatory requirement including federal and state safety and health laws Ability to be flexible to work effectively with wide variety of people and to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural environment Excellent communication (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening) and presentation Skills Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently Team-worker, Detail-oriented, Responsible, Punctual, Self-motivated Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) This position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.*

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
