Since 1963, Sheakley has been a leader in safety management outsourcing. We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety operations for our client in Reno, NV. This role is an excellent opportunity for a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in construction safety to make a lasting impact on a high-profile project.

Position Details

Hourly Rate:

$56/HR (local) $49/hr (non-local)

Per Diem:

$125/day (7 days per week)

Completion Bonus:

$150/month

Pay Frequency:

Weekly

Schedule:

Monday-Friday (40+ hours)

Project Scope

Safety Manager for a drywall/framing contractor on a Switch data center build.

Qualifications

BCSP: STSC, CHST, SMS, etc. OR Bachelor's in Occupational HealthSafety OR OSHA 510 with 7+ years of experience OR OSHA 500 with 5+ years of experience Must have drywall/framing experience Data center experience is a huge plus

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments Support incident investigations, report findings, and implement corrective actions Deliver safety training and orientation for employees, subcontractors, and new hires Collaborate with project teams to proactively identify safety risks and mitigate hazards Maintain safety performance, incident, and compliance documentation and reports Promote a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization

SkillsKnowledge

Skills:

Excellent public speaking and communication abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively Professionalism and confidentiality with sensitive information

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
