Duties
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
Coordinate safety training sessions including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, OSHA compliance, and occupational health best practices for all employees.
Manage workers' compensation claims process in accordance with workers' compensation law, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution.
Prepare detailed report writing on safety performance metrics, incident reports, and audit findings for management review.
Promote a culture of safety through ongoing training & development initiatives, employee engagement programs, and clear communication of safety expectations.
Experience
Proven experience in construction environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and occupational health principles.
Demonstrated ability to lead safety training & development programs effectively across diverse teams.
Knowledge of workers' compensation law procedures and reporting requirements.
Hands-on experience conducting root cause analysis investigations following workplace incidents.
Strong report writing skills with the ability to analyze data trends and recommend actionable improvements.
Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, OSHA Safety Certification, or EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) credentials are highly desirable.
