SUMMARY:

As the

Safety Manager

you will be responsible for all safety training and monitoring safety procedures. Responsible for keeping the company up to date on OSHA requirements.

You will raise awareness of potential hazards that exist on the shop floors and review what can be done to minimize risks. You will enforce company safety policy,and educate staff to OSHA and DEP regulations. In this position you will also be responsible for educating staff on how to sustain a 6S environment and sustain a 6S facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee all Safety Protocols

Keep Facility in compliance and up to date with new regulations Enforce company safety policies Educate staff on safety protocols Ensure company is in compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations Inspection of all Buildings and Grounds Responsible for all Hazardous Waste including all supporting documentation Conduct all safety orientations to include but not limited too: Lock Out Tag Out, PPE, 6S, FOD, SDS Sheets, Chemicals and Evacuation Plans Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures Facilitate evacuation plans Conduct monthly safety meeting with support staff Monitor use of PPE for employees Manage Employee Health Programs Monitor shop floors for sound level, heat levels and air quality Review existing safety policies and update as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience in Environmental and/or Safety Management, in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of rules and regulations and OSHA procedures. OSHA certification preferred.*
Hazardous Material experience with storage and transport practices Experience with writing Health & Safety Procedures Full understanding of 6S and what it takes to maintain a 6S environment Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills Ability to lead by example

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
