POSITION OVERVIEW:





This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Coordinator located in Denver, CO. The Safety coordinator is responsible for implementing and overseeing safety programs and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all Company employees on construction sites. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as the general contractor's safety policies.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:




Report, track and attend follow up appointments as necessary. Assist in the coordination of employee safety programs to determine their adequacy including review of short- and long-term strategic safety planning and development. Monitor safety standards and procedures for all departments and facilities, including commercial framing, drywall, drywall finishing, and acoustical ceilings and painting scopes of work. OSHA Compliance on 40 to 60 active projects. Facilitate communication at all levels regarding the organization's safety and loss prevention, company training, and project safety audits. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards on all physical properties, vehicles, operations and projects; report findings and recommendations to CEO. Facilitate in person safety orientation and onboarding. Assist Management in ensuring compliance with all S.H.E standards promulgated by local, state and federal agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:




Bachelor's in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Construction Safety & Health Specialist Certificate, or 3+years of progressive field safety experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual Spanish/English a MUST. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, local safety regulations, and construction site safety practices. OSHA 30 Certification (OSHA 510 a plus!) CPR/First Aid certified and Certified to train. Valid driver's license, with good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required to travel between job sites and perform duties safely. US Citizenship and successfully pass a security background screening. Experience with commercial or construction projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong supervisory, leadership and training skills. Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-risk environment and make quick, sound decisions. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Strong work ethic; follows through to completion; and a collaborative team player. Reliable and predictable attendance.
