About This Role

Parks excavating is seeking an experienced

Area Safety Manager

to provide area-level safety leadership across assigned site excavation projects. This role focuses on

field safety leadership

for excavation, grading, underground utilities

The Area Safety Manager will report to the

Regional Safety Manager



What You'll Do

Provide

area-level safety leadership

for parks excavation and site development projects Promote and embody company core values:

safety, quality, integrity, ownership, service, and teamwork

Foster a positive, solutions-oriented safety culture in the field Manage and support other safety professionals or administrative staff as assigned Perform

job site and area-level safety audits

based on trends, leading/lagging indicators, and identified risks Support

excavation safety

, including trenching, shoring, heavy equipment, and underground hazard awareness Coordinate injury management with the Workers' Compensation Manager and support local medical resources Participate in incident investigations,

root cause analysis

, and corrective action development Participate in after-action review (AAR) calls for safety-related events and ensure follow-up actions are completed Review weekly operations reports for proactive safety planning Assist with safety training instruction and scheduling as directed Support OSHA inspections and agency audits as assigned Ensure timely notification and documentation of serious safety events Complete monthly purchasing card expense reports within department guidelines Participate in company-wide safety initiatives and special projects Be available

on-call 24/7

or as assigned, including nights, weekends, and holidays Perform additional duties as assigned by regional or senior leadership
What You'll Bring

Current or maintained certifications: OSHA 500 CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid Strong knowledge of:

Excavation and trenching safety

Heavy equipment operations Underground utilities and site hazards Ability to travel regionally or nationwide as required, including overnight travel Professional communication and leadership skills at all organizational levels Commitment to continuous professional development Quanta Train-the-Trainer certification preferred Ability to respond to urgent safety matters after hours
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
