We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to champion a safe and compliant work environment. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety programs that promote occupational health and safety standards. You will serve as the go-to expert on safety regulations, conduct training sessions, and ensure adherence to all relevant laws and policies.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies aligned with MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence. Develop, write, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Coordinate and deliver engaging training & development programs on topics such as first aid, CPR, MSHA compliance, occupational health, and environmental safety practices. Maintain accurate report writing for safety incidents, inspections, audits, and compliance documentation. Stay current with evolving workers' compensation law and ensure organizational adherence to legal requirements related to workplace injuries. Collaborate with management to foster a safety-first culture that emphasizes proactive prevention and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of MSHA regulations and occupational health principles is preferred. Certification in first aid, CPR, or other emergency response procedures is highly desirable. Knowledge of EPA regulations related to environmental safety practices within industrial settings. Familiarity with workers' compensation law and reporting procedures for workplace injuries. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to identify hazards or recurring issues. Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail for documentation of incidents and safety audits. Strong communication skills to deliver training sessions and collaborate across teams effectively. Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
