Role Description
This is a contract on-site role located in Lexington, KY for an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager. The EHS Manager will be responsible for overseeing environmental health and safety programs, conducting accident investigations, and providing occupational health guidance. The EHS Manager will also lead training sessions to ensure compliance and promote a strong safety culture within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor site-specific HSE plans, procedures, and policies.
Conduct daily site inspections and audits; report findings and follow up on corrective actions.
Provide induction and ongoing safety training for site personnel, contractors, and visitors.
Ensure compliance with all local and national HSE laws and standards.
Lead incident investigations and prepare reports including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
Maintain and update all required safety records, permits, and documentation.
Promote safety awareness and support the development of a positive HSE culture on-site.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency drills.
Liaise with regulatory authorities when necessary.
Qualifications
Skills in Health & Safety, Environment Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health
Experience in Accident Investigation
Ability to conduct Training sessions
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Relevant certifications in safety and health management
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field
CHST or CSP preferred
* Healthcare Construction experience a plus
