PAY RANGE : $25.00 - $27.00

POSITION PURPOSE / SUMMARY STATEMENT





As the Run Club Manager and Assistant Head Coach (Assistant Store Manager), you will lead all aspects of Run Club operations, including staff, membership, events, communication, and resources. In addition to managing all aspects of the Run Club, you will support the Head Coach (Store Manager) with all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the store including sales, customer service, recruiting and training, coaching, and maintaining high store standards. You will supervise all store employees in the absence of the Head Coach, including enforcing company policies and procedures and corporate directives, as well as maintain an effective corporate office business partner relationships.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES



Supervises store employees in the absence of the Head Coach. This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.






ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES





Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the club's facilities and activities. Plan and execute club events, from regular Run Club meetups to larger race events. Recruit new Run Club members, grow community engagement, manage member relations, and ensure a positive experience for all participants. Manage overall services of the Run Club, including but limited to product demos, giveaways, Runkeeper app event management, required participant waivers and documentation, and participants' progress towards goals. Monitoring sales floor activities by walking and visually inspecting the store, make decisions regarding employee breaks, observe employee interactions with customers, and BOH assignments. Perform opening and closing tasks such as ensuring products are visually appealing for the next business day. Coach team members on sales strategy, presentation of product information, Run Club event staff support, and general customer service to uphold exceptional customer experience. Greet and assist customers & Run Club participants, answer customer & Run Club questions, and guide product selection in order to provide excellent customer service. Confirm sales targets are being met by monitoring hourly store and team member sales, and adjusting where necessary. Accept payment for customer purchases using POS machine. Assist Stock Associate (if applicable at your location) in receiving and inspecting merchandise from the distribution center by counting and opening each box to ensure accurate number of product. Audit sales and transaction reports for accuracy and discrepancies as part of a loss prevention strategy. Maintain store appearance throughout business hours by restocking merchandise shelves, folding apparel and organizing shoe displays. Analyze store & Run Club data (such as past sales metrics, club participation and attendance, projected sales numbers, Trial Run usage, etc.) to devise a sales and growth strategy, reporting this out regularly via newsletter and event recaps in partnership with corporate team members. . Interacts with all levels throughout the organization, including employees and outside vendors.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:





Exceptional customer service skills. Familiarity and involvement with the running industry required. Proficiency with event management, marketing, and social media skills. Ability to lead runs of varying distance outside of store. Knowledge of selling techniques to promote and sell athletic footwear and apparel. This includes strategies on achieving expected sales goals. Uphold a positive attitude and be a team player. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. High sense of urgency. Reliable with a strong work ethic. Knowledge of the processes of recruitment, selection, training, coaching and development of personnel. Skilled in communicating orally, verbally, and in writing to staff and upper management as well as external vendors. Skilled at teaching, instructing and directing to develop specific skills towards achieving a specific goal. Ability to make sound decisions that benefits the organization and uses judgment to properly execute organizational goals. Organizational and time management skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends and overtime in order to fit the Run Club and business needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS





EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:





2+ years of retail management Experience in luxury, sporting goods or athletic industry preferred Able to run at least a 5k regularly Running/coaching certification preferred Computer skills: Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Must be able to stand, walk, and squat the majority of the work shift Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 40 pounds Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Must have manual dexterity required using hands to finger; handle, feel and type; reach with hands and arms.
