Position Title: Delivery Route Driver

Work Location: Chugiak, AK

Job Duration: Full Time

Pay Rate: 17.00 to 23.00 DOE

Position Summary:

This is a full time position based in Chugiak, AK. The employee will be responsible for making pickups and deliveries of packages and freight out of a company provided vehicle. The employee will need to perform pre and post trip inspections on the vehicle. The employee will be responsible for basic maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle (ie. Cleaning mirrors, windshield, headlights, marker lights. Fueling of the vehicle. Checking tire pressures and fluid levels. The employee will be required to maintain himself and the vehicle in a clean and presentable manner. The employee will work with and without assistance or direct supervision, and will need to be able to communicate with dispatch effectively. The position consists of sorting, loading, unloading, delivery, and transfer of freight and packages into / out of the vehicle safely. The employee will be responsible for securing cargo and load management.

The employee will be responsible for the safe driving and operation of company vehicles.

The route area will include primarily Chugiak, AK area with a start and stop in Chugiak.

Duties And Responsibilities:

? Work directly with dispatch to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.

? Perform Pre and Post Trip Inspections on vehicle.

? Minor maintenance / cleaning of vehicle to ensure safe operation.

? Perform pickup, delivery, and transfer of packages and freight.

? Complete paperwork for shipments, as well as provide accountability for individual packages / freight.

Job Requirements:

? Must be eligible to work in the United States

? Must be at least 19 years of age.

? Must be able to pass pre-employment as well as random drug screening.

? Must have or be able to attain a DOT Medical Card.

? Must be able to pass a TSA Security Threat Assessment / Background Check.

? Must have a valid Alaska Driver's License (Class D)

? Must have clean driving record.

? Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

? Must be able to work independently, without direct supervision.

? Must be able to drive, work, and handle freight safely.

? Must be able to lift and/or move up to 150 lbs unassisted.

? Must be able to work under stressful and fast paced conditions, have the ability to adapt to developing / dynamic situations.
