Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Route Driver to join our team in . The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods to customers, ensuring timely service, and maintaining excellent customer relationships. This role requires a professional with strong driving skills, experience in delivery operations, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving. The Route Driver will operate various vehicles, including box trucks, and may be involved in warehouse activities related to loading and unloading shipments.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks with manual transmission, for daily route deliveries. Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling methods. Deliver products to customers according to scheduled routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs professionally and courteously. Assist with warehouse duties such as loading, unloading, and moving inventory as needed. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and delivery equipment. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met. Keep detailed records of deliveries, mileage, and any issues encountered during routes. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory. Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks such as moving inventory or cargo. Warehouse experience including use of forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor. Excellent driving skills with knowledge of safe driving practices. Ability to work independently, follow detailed routes, and manage time effectively. Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and physical demands of loading/unloading cargo.
