JOB INFO:

Western Corrugated Design is looking for an experienced Rotary Die Cut operator. We are looking for a candidate that would like to continue their career with a growing Company. Successful candidates must have adequate knowledge and apply that knowledge to improve the processes and meet or exceed our customer's quality requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare Make-Ready of the die board and cutting press. Run initial quantities after setting up the die cutting machine to demonstrate production capability. Operate the die cutter machine that cuts paper for cartons out of paper sheets Read and respond to scheduling software to define machine setup. Understand and practice correct equipment operation as applied. Wide range of duties that include locating stock, loads, loading, and stacking according to size, shape, and quantity to support machine efficiency. Responsible for meeting monthly and quarterly efficiency goals by exceeding established production and quality standards. Perform quality checks as required and report deficiencies to Die Cutting manager when discovered. Maintain machine work records, and update them on a timely basis. Inspect tooling before and after run. Workaround equipment and use tools to set up the Die Cutting machine. Report any missing, broken, bent, or worn parts to the supervisor or maintenance personnel. Keep the area clean and assist in the set-up of the equipment.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Able to read and follow all instructions

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to apply concepts of high school math.

Candidates MUST offer the following:

Prior work experience operating a Rotary Die Cut Corrugated Box Manufacturing Experience
Candidates must be able to work any shift, pass background check, drug screen and pre-employment test. The position has a 90 day probationary period.
