Position: Rope Access Level III Technician
Job Summary
Manage the safety of rope access crews, organize job-specific rope access functions, and supervise teams performing industrial and technical services at height.
Ensure compliance with SPRAT/IRATA standards and organizational safety requirements.
Perform ultrasonic thickness testing, including equipment setup, calibration, and interpretation of results.
Provide on-the-job training and support for NDT Level I personnel and trainees.
Prepare and deliver accurate NDT reports.
Pay is dependent upon experience.
Job Duties
Responsibilities include performing and/or coordinating the following:

Non-Destructive Testing standards using rope access methods.
Serve as safety lead, coordinate jobsite organization, and supervise work crews.
Conduct UTT and visual inspections; perform MT and PT testing as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and ensure team compliance.
Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.
Accountabilities
Demonstrate all skills and knowledge required of a Level III Rope Access Technician.
Inspect all NDE and rope access equipment before use.
Perform job-specific NDE tasks.
Assist in managing safety and quality standards for Rope Access personnel.
Required Qualifications / Skills / Competencies
SPRAT or IRATA Level III certification (must be maintained).
Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Documented UTT, MT, and PT on-the-job training hours.
Ability to pass Level II UT testing with Spartan Companies, LLC, and MT/PT testing if applicable.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
ISQ certification (or ability to obtain) is a plus.
Must pass DISA background check and drug/alcohol screening.
Valid driver's license and TWIC card required.
Effective communication skills and strong teamwork mindset.
Time-management skills and ability to maintain consistent productivity.
Working Environment
Work may occur indoors, outdoors, at height, or below grade level.
Includes loading/unloading tools, material preparation, and equipment assembly/disassembly.
May involve working near radiant or electrical energy, machinery, or moving objects.
May require travel and extended or irregular hours.
Work may occur alongside customer representatives, inspectors, and other contractors.
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, climb, twist, push, pull, reach overhead, and identify colors.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to hear (with aid), speak, count, read, write, and operate motor vehicles and equipment.
Must be able to perceive depth and perform physical activities associated with rope access work.
Tools & PPE Requirements
Ability to operate computers, calculators, specialized instrumentation, hand tools, power tools, air tools, telephones, and vehicles.
Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hard hat, reinforced-toe footwear, coveralls, gloves, and hearing protection.
Must follow all safety guidelines and regulations.
