Overview

SUMMARY

The Room Attendant performs highly detailed departure cleans and stayover services to resort accommodations by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completes work assigned by manager or supervisor in a timely manner, upholding the time standards set by the resort.
  • Makes beds, ensuring sheets are clean and not stained or torn.
  • Replenish supplies such as amenities, robes and drinking glasses.
  • Dust furniture, walls pictures.
  • Sweeps and vacuums.
  • Disinfect/scrub tubs, toilets, counters, sinks, etc.
  • Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Cleans patios and straightens outdoor furnishings
  • Secures doors and storerooms
  • Cleans storerooms and laundry rooms.
  • Performs extra cleaning tasks assigned by manager, such as deep cleans.
  • Updates Room Status through telephone interface or directly to manager/supervisor.
  • Empty wastebaskets.
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Spot clean carpets.
  • Report any damages or stains to manager.
  • Maintain safety standards of all chemicals used.
  • Turn in all lost and found items to the housekeeping office.
  • Records work on daily worksheet. Is responsible to accurately reflect all services, reporting refusals of services or Do Not Disturb signs to Manager/Supervisor at end of shift.
  • Follow established safety and security procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Red Mountain Gold Star Standards.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or general education degree, one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, to guests and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid driver license required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; hike; climb; use hands and fingers; handle; talk or hear; sit and stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl. The employee may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid outdoor weather including extreme heat and cold. Majority of time spent working in guest rooms of the resort.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

The employee must be able to spend entire shift on feet and ascend and descend stairways.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee must be flexible in working evenings, weekends and holidays.

The employee must be able to comply with department\'s uniform requirements.
