Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Laborer to join our team. This position is essential for ensuring the quality and safety of roofing installations and repairs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. This role involves various tasks related to roofing, construction, and labor, requiring both physical strength and technical skills.

Duties

Perform roofing installations, repairs, and maintenance on residential and commercial buildings. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. Engage in heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation according to specifications. Apply caulking materials to seal joints and seams as needed. Assist in frame carpentry tasks, including constructing roof structures. Lay tiles accurately for roofing projects when required. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow on job sites. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing or construction is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus. Ability to weld or fabricate materials as needed for specific projects is advantageous. Strong understanding of heavy lifting techniques to safely handle materials. Proficiency in using hand tools commonly used in roofing and construction work. Experience with frame carpentry is beneficial for structural tasks. Knowledge of tile laying techniques is desirable for roofing applications. Ability to read blueprints accurately is essential for successful project execution. Must be physically fit, capable of standing for long periods, and able to perform strenuous activities.
