Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious

Roller Operator

to join our civil construction team. The Roller Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of compacting equipment to prepare and finish surfaces on roads, foundations, and other construction projects. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate roller and compacting equipment to compact soil, subgrade, asphalt, and other materials on roads, pads, or other construction surfaces Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment Maintain a safe working area and comply with all company and site safety policies Read and interpret grade stakes and specifications to ensure proper compaction levels Communicate effectively with site foremen, equipment operators, and ground crews Report any equipment issues or hazards to supervisors immediately Assist with general labor and other tasks as needed on the job site

Qualifications

Proven experience operating rollers or other compacting equipment in a civil construction environment Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to heavy equipment operation Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required High school diploma or equivalent preferred
