We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and will be responsible for managing the health and wellbeing of patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires a thorough understanding of anatomy and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care.

Duties

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical unit, ensuring their comfort and safety. Monitor and assess patient conditions, recording vital signs and reporting any changes to the medical team. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to established protocols. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, recovery processes, and health maintenance. Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.

Experience

Registered Nurse qualification with valid NMC registration. Previous experience in a Medical/Surgical setting is preferred but not essential; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient assessment and care planning. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
