This role ensures high-quality resident care, supervises nursing staff, coordinates unit workflows, and supports regulatory compliance. The RN Unit Manager plays a key leadership role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and compassionate care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day clinical operations on the assigned unit.
Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
Ensure high standards of resident care and regulatory compliance.
Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
Monitor staffing levels, assign duties, and assist with scheduling.
Provide clinical guidance, training, and performance feedback to staff.
Respond to resident condition changes and coordinate appropriate interventions.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to facility policies.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
Active
Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of Wisconsin.
Prior experience in a
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
required.
Previous leadership or charge nurse experience strongly preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and clinical assessment skills.
Ability to work variable evening shifts and manage a 40-hour weekly schedule.
Knowledge of long-term care regulations and best practices.
