Cross Country Search is seeking a Pediatric RN Transport Manager to run the critical care transport team in Delaware! Consisting of a multi-disciplinary group of health care professionals who are available 24/7 to stabilize and transport sick and injured children from referring facilities to this hospital, as well as transport patients from this facility to another dependent up that child\'s medical needs. The Transport Nurse Manager is responsible for the daily management of the Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team and Access Communication center facilitating and guiding decisions that impact patient care and daily shift operations. The nurse manager works collaboratively with Transport Program Director, Transport Medical Director, and the Business Operations Manager, to assure an out-come oriented patient centered and cost-effective pediatric transport program.

Essential Functions:
1. Supervises and directs daily shift operations and transport services, collaborating with the transport medical director to address any operational needs.
2. Responsible for the daily management and evaluation of department staff as assigned by Nemours. Works collaboratively with the Transport Program Director, regarding hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
3. Collaborates with the Transport Program\xe2\x80\x99s Business Manager and Program Director, to implement processes that adhere to all state and federal licenses and regulations.
4. Utilizes transport data to identify departmental quality monitors and evaluates performance in achievement of outcomes.
5. Participates in the design and implementation of team training and continuing education.
6. Responsible for the development, education and implementation of transport policies and protocols in conjunction with the Medical Director.
7. Works collaboratively with Transport Program Director to effectively manage both operations and capital budgets.
8. Oversees the scheduling of staff to assure effective and cost-efficient staffing.
9. Serves both as clinical and logistical resource role modeling for both Transport Clinicians and Transport Communications Specialists.
10. Collaborates with the Program Director and Medical Director to set the strategic direction of the Transport Team.

Job Requirements:

  • BSN required upon hire; MSN required within 2 years of hire
  • Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of DE
  • 3-5 years of experience in transport/emergency medicine
Scheduling:
Normal business hours - Monday - Friday 8-5pm
Infrequent weekend and evening hours (staff meetings, team rounding\'s, etc.)
