Overview:

To improve the health status of the community is a driving force in our mission and as a Registered Nurse for Surgery at a Level 1 trauma and burn center, your role as a RN in the Operating Room plays an integral part in directly affecting those we serve.

You can also have easily accessible and hand\'s on opportunities with the local AORN chapter as we are the area host facility. Your role here will include opportunities for growing your clinical skillset, as well as advancement through a clinical ladder that is achievable with experience and leadership activities.

As a nurse in one of our operating rooms, you will have unique opportunities to learn at every corner. With an average of over 26,000 surgical cases per year, you will learn from multiple disciplines, develop close relationships with surgeons and anesthesiologists alike, and be able to make a difference in the lives of thousands. You can expect to see the following types of cases: trauma, burn, pediatrics, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, gynecology, surgical oncology, general surgery, robotics, oral and maxillofacial (OMFS), urology, ophthalmology, plastics, dental, and more!

From documenting all activity during surgery, to ensuring that all processes run safely and efficiently, and that the patient\'s needs are put first-- you deliver the excellent care and attention to detail that our patients deserve.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of approved nursing program required
  • RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
