Job Description


What will I be doing?

1. Communicate with patients, colleagues, and other individuals (e.g. pharmacists, schools) to answer questions, disseminate or explain appropriate medication information, and address patient medication needs/concerns.

2. Serve as the medical support liaison between practitioner and other professionals and agencies as related to the patient.

3. Assist practitioner in submitting Prior Authorization (PA) requests for medications.

4. Assist practitioner in calling in prescriptions/refills to Pharmacy and checking on lab orders.
5. If on site, assist practitioner with taking vitals, completing notes, submitting PAs.

6. Maintain, and supervise maintenance of, accurate records in EMR of assistance provided in regard to patient/medication issues.

7. Ensure compliance with all state regulatory bodies, including re-licensure/re-certification of NPs.

8. Ensure compliance with all state regulatory bodies.

9. Participate in the PQI process and strategic planning process.

10. Employee will include sensitivity to the service population\'s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics in providing treatment and administrative services.

11. Employee must Independently transport self in his/her own vehicle to provide services in the in-home/community-based service milieu, attend meetings; and, if absolutely necessary, transport clients occasionally. Employee must agree & accept this job duty requires him/her to maintain a current driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, a safe driving record, current vehicle insurance; and, maintain his/her vehicle in safe operating condition at all times.

12. Monitor medications and provide ongoing support and education regarding medications

13. Monitor vital signs/Nursing assessment and other duties as assigned by practicing physician/psychiatrist/practitioner

14. Completes daily progress notes.

15. Perform other duties as assigned to support operations and mission of the Company.

Must hold a current RN license.
