We are seeking a RN for an immediate opportunity supporting a rehab team a state-of-the-art, 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness in the Iowa City, IA area. Iowa City is home to the University of Iowa and offers historic landmarks, venues, eateries and all that small college town has to offer. JOB SUMMARY:
  • Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation.
  • Develops nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary.
  • Communicates changes in patient\xe2\x80\x99s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.
  • Participates in discharges planning process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provides patient and family teaching throughout the rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge.
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
  • Works cooperatively and actively participates with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Participates in Continuous Quality and Performance Improvement (CQPI).
  • Maintains positive relationships with all customers.
SCHEDULE:
  • Shift: Nights 7:00p - 7:00a
  • Duration - 13 weeks
  • Start date: TBD
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid state/compact RN license
  • BLS (AHA required)
  • ACLS (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 - 5 year of experience
COMPENSATION:
  • Negotiable
  • Tax free allowance available for travelers
  • Commute must be 50 mile or greater to qualify for travel stipends
