In the surgical procedure room, provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of the physician. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office/clinic policies, procedures, and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Admitting the patient and undergoing pre-procedure assessment
Provide sedation during the procedure
Maintain the patient's airway and safety during the procedure
Post-procedure recovery
Professional Requirements:
Ensures that appearance and personal conduct are professional at all times.
Excellent attendance record.
Wears appropriate clothing for job functions. Wears ID badge.
Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, administration, and staff.
Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community.
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
Regulatory Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Utah RN license.
ACLS certified
PALS certified
Sedation certified (provided by the department)
