ADVANCED SURGERY CENTER OF CENTRAL IOWA, has a PRN position available for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room/Ambulatory Surgery

experience.

Orthopedic/ENT circulating and scrubbing experience desired.

No nights, weekends, holidays, or CALL.

We are currently looking for an experienced OR Registered Nurse for a PRN position.

Qualifications

Education

: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Experience

: One year of OR experience with surgery center background.

Licensure

: Current RN licensure in appropriate state required.

Additional Skills (required)

: Must have a thorough understanding of role of circulating/scrub RN and ability to carry out the functions as stated by license. ACLS & PALS certification required (or obtain within 90 days of hire). Will be required to lift patients frequently requiring the ability to lift 60 lbs. Must be able to exert at least 40 lbs of force to assist with patient transports. Will be walking and standing the majority of their shift. Frequent bending and stooping involved. Must be able to comprehend policies, patient records, physician's orders, procedures and guidelines. Environment may be stressful.

Speaking up with safety concerns and acting as a patient advocate. Handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field. Preform interventions to protect patients from infection. Demonstrate critical thinking skills, sound judgement, and leadership within the operating room. Tasks delegated outside operating room time. Other duties as assigned.
Pay: From $32.00 per hour
