Job Description

Duties:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Skills:

Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Education:

1. BSN preferred.

2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

3. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

4. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

5. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Certifications & Licenses:
BLS - AHA
RN

NIGHT SHIFT ONLY

MUST BE ABLE TO START NO LATER THAN 3 WEEKS FROM OFFER. ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF 3 WEEKS WILL NEED TO BE APPROVED BY THE MANAGER.

THIS IS AN AUTO OFFER REQUEST. WE WILL SEND OUT AUTO OFFERS AND ALLOW TWO HOURS FOR A RESPONSE BEFORE RESCINDING THE OFFER AND MOVING ONTO THE NEXT CANDIDATE.

REQUIRED:

EVERY OTHER WEEKEND AND EVERY OTHER HOLIDAY.

REQUIRED:

2+ YEARS OF GENERAL MEDSURG UNIT EXPERIENCE,

BLS CERTIFICATION FROM AHA ** **

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE WORKING ON A SURGICAL FLOOR. **
